  • The Seychelles are a group of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean that lie off the coast of East Africa, northeast of Madagascar.
During Christmas last year I visited La Digue, Praslin and Mahé. Mahé is the largest and most populous island in the Seychelles, home to 90% of the country's population and its largest airport. La Digue is one of the smaller islands of the Seychelles. It is reasonably accessible, well served with accommodation and some tourist facilities, but is much quieter, picturesque and exclusive than Mahe or Praslin. The key reason for visiting is to experience L'Anse Source D'Argent, one of the world's top beaches, largely on account of the exotic weathering of the large pink granite rocks studding the coastline, coupled with sandy beaches and palms. Unfortunately I spent only a few hours in Praslin and didn't take any great photos there.  For my trip to Seychelles I brought my drone for the first time. I really enjoyed aerial photography.
