  • Saudi Arabia is one of the most mysterious countries in the world. I'm fortunate enough to establish the second office of my company ( in Riyadh last year. It gives me an amazing opportunity to visit Saudi Arabia regularly and learn more about this amazing country full of business opportunities.

I spent a lot of time in Riyadh and visited all its highlights. The most important of them is Masmak Fortress. This is the heart of old Riyadh. It was the fortress stormed by King Abdul Aziz and his men in their daring reconquest of Riyadh in 1902.

Undoubtedly the top sight in Riyadh is National Museum (opened in 1999), which  is done up with the latest technology. There are so many video presentations and mini-theatres that you could spend an entire day here doing virtual tours of Madain Salih or watching re-enactments of the Prophet Mohammed's battle of Medina. Highlights include a kiswah cloth that once covered the Qaaba in Mecca.

Another worth visit place in Saudi Arabia is The Edge of the World (whose real name is Jebel Fihrayn). Ithas become within a few years one of the most popular destinations around Riyadh, This “nickname” was given because of its main attraction that are the stunning viewpoints from the top of the 300-meter-high cliffs overlooking the surrounding plain. This escarpment is part of the much longer Jibal Tuwaiq which is one of the most prominent natural features of Saudi Arabia as it spreads over 1 000 kilometers from the province of Najran on the south up to Qassim in the north. It even played an important role in Arabia’s History as along its foot was one of the ancient caravan trade routes that used to cross the Arabian Peninsula from Yemen into the Levant and Persia.

I hope you will enjoy the new gallery from Saudi Arabia!
