  • Montenegro was the last stop during my trip to Balkans last year. I spent a few days in beach resort - Ulcinj and then headed to the capital city - Podgorica.
Ulcinj is one of the most interesting towns on the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea. It is a mixture of the Mediterranean and Europe. There is an old castle overlooking the sea and Stari grad (old town), both of them are really worth a visit. Podgorica is a city located on the banks of six rivers. One quarter of Montenegro’s population live here, since this is the main city of the country. It is a city like many other cities in the Balkans, with an impressive historical center but with communist apartments blocks all around the central area.
